The high capacity, high integrity storage system lets you record up to approximately 21 hours of movies, while the superior HDD Smart Protection prevents data loss and protects the hard drive. Composed of three fundamental components, HDD Smart Protection relies on a 3G sensor to detect a dropping motion which disengages the disc drive. Sony's unique buffering system allows the Handycam to continue recording and then write to the hard disk drive once the camera is stabilised – allowing for seamless, uninterrupted footage. Further protection is offered through the interior shock absorber.
